City Union Mission’s Executive Director, Dan Doty says, “Thank you to all the generous donors who have helped us with our Celebrate Hope Campaign. $3,446,318 was raised During our Celebrate Hope Campaign!” 

City Union Mission’s Celebrate Hope Campaign raises half their year’s annual budget by the end of January. The mission does not turn any man away who wants to come in out of the cold.  When schools close due to extreme weather, numbers at City Union Mission escalate.  Funds raised from the Celebrate Hope Campaign are critical in ensuring the ongoing work.

“It’s so important to us to be able to give each man that comes through our doors the dignity and respect they need and deserve.  We want to be able to provide a bed for each man to sleep in, not just a mat on the floor or a chair.  When a man feels respected and valued he is more likely to begin to see himself in a different light…more likely to start down the road to recovery and productive living.  And that’s good for us all!”

“Kansas Citians’ understand that.  They have always been there for the poor or homeless.   And again I want to say how grateful we are to those who partner with us.  Because of you lives are first rescued, then rebuilt.  Your partnership enables us to reach out to the community in order to help prevent homelessness as well.  Thank you,” explained Doty.
