A group of nine people from Endurance Reinsurance Corporation of America, decided that instead of exchanging Christmas gifts among themselves, they would take those funds, add to them, and give to City Union Mission.
“We knew that in these rough times there would be many organizations and families in need of assistance. We all got together and discussed where to make our donation and decided on City Union Mission. In part because all of us were familiar with the organization and the great work they do to help people in need. We also decided to donate to City Union Mission because they receive no government support, are not part a United Way Agency and depend completely on donations from individuals, groups, and businesses,” said Joan Spee. “We are so pleased to be able to help the City Union Mission and make a difference!”
The group donated $1500. Another $700 was donated from employee matching funds from Endurance Reinsurance Corporation of America. They designated their funds to help furnish the men’s center with more bunk beds. This small group really did make a big difference!
