Because you cared!
Thanks to your generous support, faithful donations, and hundreds of hardworking volunteers, City Union Mission provided 3,080 people, representing 496 adopted families, with 15,260 Christmas gifts. As one volunteer, Ken, put it, “When you see the kids faces light up it, you just melt like butter. The adults light up when they see all the food coming in, but when the kids see the presents and the toys. Wow!”
And through City Union Mission’s Community Assistance over 500 people heard the gospel message, with 69 accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior! CITY UNION MISSION'S dining room was open to all and 52,048 hot, nutritious meals were served during the months of November and December.
Our house was full and overflowing every night, but homeless men, women, and children stayed full and warm thanks to your gifts of food, blankets, hats, coats, mittens and so much more. Once again, we couldn't have done it without you.
As 2009 begins, we want to take time out to thank our friends. Because you care about the poor or homeless, CITY UNION MISSION was able to bring the love of Jesus, and the hope He brings for the future, this Christmas season, to many men, women, and children.
Thank you for helping those less fortunate. May 2009 bring us many more opportunities to provide Hope!
Sincerely,
Dan Doty
