Commitment is the key in volunteering your time, money, or other resources for ministry. Recently one local youth group has stood out in their volunteer efforts.
Every Monday during the summer, from 9:30 in the morning till 2:30 in the afternoon, the youth group from Noland Road Baptist Church commit themselves to making a difference in the community. This week, they committed a beautiful summer day to service work for City Union Mission. With all of the renovations taking place at City Union Mission’s overnight men’s shelter, there is quite a bit of debris and scrap metal that needed to be picked up and sorted. They stepped up and took on the challenge, giving a full day's effort, all in the name of Christ.

We are so excited to have local churches partnering with City Union Mission for this very reason. They have the chance to serve others and through that make an eternal impact on the lives of many poor and homeless in Kansas City.
