Sunday, May 4, 2008 is Bikers With A Mission 19th Annual “Run for the Homeless,” donating all proceeds to City Union Mission. Registration is between 9 AM and 12 noon. Each year more than 600 bikers ride 100 miles, rain or shine, to provide eye glasses, utility assistance, dental care, bus tokens, and so much more to those in need. Join in and make a difference in the lives of poor and homeless men, women, and children!
Midwest Airlines
Again Midwest Airlines has donated two round trip tickets for flight anywhere in the Continental United States to be given to the rider with the most cash turned in at the beginning of the ride. We are so pleased that Midwest Airlines continues to partner with us to help raise money for City Union Mission.
W.M. KNIVES
One CUSTOM-MADE KNIFE, created by Bill Miller, owner and founder of W.M. KNIVES, has also been donated that will be given to the rider who has secured the most pledges. Bill has been donating his hand crafted custom knives as prizes for this event for over a decade. W.M. KNIVES is a member of the MidWest Knifemakers Association. You can contact him through the mail at H.C.R. 66 PO Box 784 in Warsaw, MO., or call him at (660) 438-2316. W.M. KNIVES is founded on Christian principles. Hebrews 4:12, “The word of the Lord is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword.”
These wonderful prizes will be given out at the 3 PM Presentation Ceremony that follows the run. Plus there will be lots of chances to win door prizes at the ceremony as well!
