Annual Report

News at City Union Mission

CLP Grad Employee of the Month
June 26, 2007

Vernal Whiteside graduated from City Union Mission’s Christian Life Program, long-term recovery program, a few years ago.  The Great Wolf Lodge hired him July 17, 2006 for their housekeeping department.  And now, less than a year since he started, he was named May “Packmember” of the month due to his excellent job performance.

The Great Wolf Lodge reported in the June 22, 2007 “Paw Prints” that Vernal is always on time for scheduled shifts, and is willing to do whatever is asked of him.  His ability to be flexible, working either independently or with a team, as well as his overall hard work and dedication to his position won him the title.

“We are very proud of Vernal.  He stands as an example to our clients of what they too can accomplish with a little hard work and perseverance,” says Ted Taylor, Christian Life Program Administrator.
