Thanks to donors like you City Union Mission was able to deliver 16,317 gifts last year to homeless and income qualified families.

    As we prepare for this years Christmas season we have put together families to adopt that represent the families we are planning to serve this Christmas. Each family member gets about $50 worth of gifts and each household gets one household item and food basket.

    If you are interested in adopting a family or providing funds to have gifts purchased for a family please contact Ben at 816 474 9380 ext 1459 or ben@cumission.org to sign up.

• We ask that all gifts be new  and unwrapped to allow staff to be able to assign gifts to families that are age and need appropriate

• We request that gifts be delivered to 1310 Wabash between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday - Friday

• In order to allow time for separating and  wrapping gifts we ask that they be delivered by December 13th

• If you would like to volunteer to wrap gifts, deliver gifts, or interview clients please contact the volunteer department at 816 474 9380 ext 1487

• You will receive a thank you from the family you adopt.

Gifts a Family Receives:

Each household receives 1 Household Gift and Food basket
Adults receive 2 Gifts and 3 Stocking Stuffers
Teenagers receive 2 Gifts and 3 Stocking Stuffers
Child receive 3 Gifts and 3 stocking stuffers

Child Gifts: handheld electronic games, remote controlled toys, Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, action figure, a blue school uniform shirt, baby dolls

Infant Gifts: baby blanket, some onesies, soft infant toys

Stocking stuffers: Pacifiers, Bottles, Baby Wipes,Bibs, Individual Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, Packages of Bouncy Balls, Markers, Crayons, Coloring/Activity Books, Winter Hats, Gloves, Play makeup, Crayons, Markers, Coloring/Activity Books, Stickers, Beanie Animals, Small/Travel size cologne/aftershave, Manly smelling hand cream/lotions, Small/Travel size perfume, Votive candles, candle holders, Small/Travel size Bath & Body creams, Small pocket knives, Stationary sets, Kitchen Utensils (spatulas, turners, spoons, etc.)
