The Christmas season is soon approaching. City Union Mission assists over 450 families with gifts for Christmas anually. Read more on how you can help a child's Christmas dream come true.
At the Mission's Presence of Love Store, income-qualified community members can "shop" free, selecting gifts like warm pajamas, gloves, toys and many other items for those they hold dear.
We invite you to adopt a family that represents the families and individuals we'll serve this season. Select the family size you wish to "adopt," then simply purchase items from our recommended gift list shown below and donate them to the Christmas Store.
To make a donation toward the purchase of gifts, please contact Damita at 816-329-1468. If you would like to donate gifts contact Dena at 816-329-1423, email: Dena@cumission.org.
- We ask that all gifts be new and unwrapped to allow staff to be able to assign gifts to families that are age and need appropriate.
- We request that gifts be delivered to 1310 Wabash Ave. between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- We are accepting gifts and giving tours on Saturday: Dec. 5th. 9 a.m to 1 p.m.
- In order to allow time for separating and wrapping gifts we ask that they be delivered by Dec. 14th.
- If you would like to volunteer to provide decorations and decorate parts of our building, deliver gifts or interview clients, please contact the volunteer department at 816-474-9380 (1487).
