Compassionate Kansas Citians hit the pavement this spring to raise funds for our life-saving ministry to the poor and homeless. 

During our 17th annual Bikers with a Mission event, held May 7, 485 motorcycle enthusiasts raised $20,629.70 to help the Mission cover the cost of non-budgeted expenses, like dental care or glasses for the homeless.  The “angels on bikes” who raised the most money won two roundtrip Southwest Airline tickets, and those securing the most pledges won a custom made knife by W.M. Knives in Warsaw, Mo.

On April 2, 263 folks helped raise $4,000 during our 4th annual CrossRoad 5K Walk/Run. The first and second place overall male and female winners received gift certificates from Dick’s Sporting Goods.  Bryan Ross was the 1st place male runner, and Karen McCormick took 1st place in the female division.
