A Paddler for Kids
When Lynn Lyon learned the Mission needed new canoes for camp, he jumped at the opportunity to bring together two of his passions: kids and paddling.
Owner of Kansas City Paddler, Lynn donated two brand new canoes for our summer camp program. He also offered to our staff his expertise in paddling.
"I am delighted to provide canoes for Camp CUMCITO and provide an opportunity for these children to experience the joy of being connected to nature, as well as experience a sense of confidence and pride as they start to explore new horizons for their lives," Lynn says. "I have a passion for introducing children to paddling as a means of fostering a sense of independence, building confidence and enhancing self esteem."
