Dear Friends,
The absolute most exciting thing at Camp CUMCITO (City Union Mission Camp In The Ozarks) is when kids make a serious decision to be Sold Out and Radical for Jesus Christ! That’s what we pray for and that’s what we prepare for each summer.
Camp is such a fun and encouraging place - it’s hard to imagine what many of these kids experience at home and in school. Too often, we hear local news reports of abuse towards children, from neglect to the unthinkable.

My home (and probably yours, too) was a wonderfully safe place. It wasn’t necessary for me to go to a camp to experience love, care, honesty and uplifting communication. I received that at home - where I should have!
I truly wish I could tell you every child attending Camp CUMCITO is a happy, well-cared for, well-adjusted and loved individual - but that isn’t true. Many are, of course. They’re blessed to come from caring and loving homes. But, not all. So our camp staff prays and works hard to make each week a concentrated time of demonstrating God’s intimate love for each and every child.
Will you help these children SOAR by sponsoring a day or even a week at camp? This is a great opportunity to help impact a child (or several) for life on earth and forevermore.
