God Is Doing His Stuff!
“Since I’ve been here, I’ve come to realize this is the real deal,” says Gary Mountz, who joined our staff as director of men’s ministries in July 2007. “This is way beyond feeding people and preaching the Gospel. … Every day, 24-7, God is doing His stuff.”
Gary remembers his biggest concern about working in a rescue ministry was having the compassion he would need for the job. The Lord took care of that!
“He gave me the compassion I needed,” Gary shares matter of factly. “I’ve never wept so much in all my life. People come here saying, ‘We need help,’ and we are ready to give it to them. There is a real concerted effort to treat people as Jesus did.”
Gary’s gifts in leading, managing and organizing are key to his ability to oversee our programs and services for men, especially with the opening of our new Christian Life Program building this spring. This facility will enable us to offer our 12-month, intensive, Bible-based recovery program to more than 100 men.
