There is so much to do this time of year! And we’re enlisting the help of you, our faithful friends, to make it happen. Maintenance Projects
Help keep our facilities in tip-top shape by painting, pouring concrete, complete repairs or landscaping.
2nd Chance Thrift Stores
Hang clothing, sort donated items, clean and organize shelves at one of our three locations:
- 1229 E. 63rd, Monday–Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
- 2301 Lexington, Monday–Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
- 7740 Wornall, Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; Friday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Presence of Love Gift Drive
Decorate the gym, receive and load donated items, or register guests; sing Christmas carols; staff information booth. (December 1 and before; see details on page 6)
Presence of Love Store
Set-up and decorate store (November 12–21); assist families as they shop, wrap gifts (November 17–December 18).
Holiday Helpers
Provide cookies for our residents, guests and Presence of Love shoppers; decorate our Men’s and Family centers for the holidays.
Christmas Gift Wrapping and Delivery
Use your vehicle to deliver gifts to clients’ homes the week of Christmas.
Share a Meal
Prepare and serve a meal for guests at our Men’s or Family centers.
