Swiss RE Project: VOLUNTEER
Clean and paint the parking lot, install a fence, build pallets, hang clothes ... and that's just the beginning of their "to do" list!
May 18, 100 Swiss RE employees grabbed their hammers, paintbrushes and brooms and headed for two of City Union Mission’s 2nd Chance Thrift stores. They not only provided the manpower and elbow grease for the much-needed improvements, they also supplied more than $8,000 in materials!
"Participating in the projects gives our volunteers the opportunity not only to help others but to see firsthand the types of services that are needed for less fortunate members of our community," says Scott Koehler, Swiss RE billings and collections manager. "It is our hope this participation will encourage additional community service by our fellow employees."
Thanks, Swiss RE employees, we’re so grateful for your partnership!
Demand for our services continues to grow, and we need the financial, prayer and volunteer support of businesses in our community to continue to meet the needs presented to us.
