This spring, you can help the homeless by foot or wheel. On April 1, hit the road for the 5th Annual CrossRoads 5K Walk/Run, hosted by Midland Adventist Academy as a benefit for City Union Mission.
The CrossRoads 5K will start at Building 40 at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, KS. You can pre-register by mail through March 22, online at www.active.com until March 30 or register the day of the event from 6:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. and the Kids’ CrossRoads Dash begins at 9:00 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow the event. Then, on May 6, we’ll host the 18th annual Bikers with a Mission (BWAM) Run for the Homeless. Last year, over 500 bikers participated, raising over $20,500 for the homeless. Bikers will cruise from 9:00 a.m. until noon, then enjoy a celebration in front of the Mission’s Men’s Center.
