Thankful Mom Shares Home Sales
When Barbara Whiteside sold her house for a profit earlier this year, she decided to share some of the proceeds with the poor and homeless served by City Union Mission.
"Because I sold the home for so much more than we paid for it 30 years ago, I wanted to give 10 percent to ministry," Barbara explains.
"City Union Mission was one of those because the work they do has such tremendous results."
Barbara has witnessed the effectiveness of our discipleship and recovery programs, both in her church and in her own home. She’s seen people who were once drug addicted change and become leaders in her church. She’s seen how her son changed while in the Christian Life Program. "I’ve also talked with the people who run the ministry and have been very impressed with them. I wanted to support the people and the work they are doing."
