Youth Group Sweats to Make Christmas Sweet for the Poor
Last fall, folks from Rockwood Baptist Church in Independence worked up a sweat so they could make Christmas a bit sweeter for the poor and homeless in Kansas City. The church’s youth group spent a combined 48 hours raking leaves for church members, who in turn donated money for our Presence of Love store.
Jonathan Payne, minister of worship and students for Rockwood Baptist, sent us this note:
Please find an enclosed check in the amount of $260 toward the purchase of items to help the under-resourced in the Kansas City area have a better Christmas this year. Thank you for all the work you do to further the Kingdom of God through this invaluable outreach.
