Pennies from Heaven
After a member of our staff took a group of children on a tour of our shelters, we received a donation from a little girl named Olivia, along with this letter:
"Thank you for the tour of the City Union Mission. I learned that a Mission is a place where people can come if they are homeless. I also learned that the Mission tries to help people put their lives back together. As a member of the Kansas City community, it is my responsibility to help. With this letter, I am sending some money from my piggy bank."
