Wayne and Sara wanted a large portion of their estate to support ministries they cared about, so they created a revocable living trust to ease administration of their estate and avoid probate costs. Through the trust they left 50 percent of their estate to their favorite ministries. The remaining funds were left in a tax-exempt testamentary charitable remainder trust. At the termination of this trust, the remaining principal would go to the ministries designated by Wayne and Sara.
