CORE Volunteer Service
Are there times when you want to serve, but don't have a clue what you want to do, or even how long you want to do it? Serving as a CORE Volunteer is the answer.

CORE Volunteers Care about projects and the Mission. They feel Obligated to help the poor and homeless. They are Ready when called upon. They are Effective in whatever task they are assigned.
CORE Volunteers can be individuals or groups who want to serve only one-time or for a short period of time. Some CORE Volunteers also serve once a month, once a quarter, or once a year. These volunteers are the foundation of the entire ministry that takes place at City Union Mission. Many of our High Impact Volunteers started out as CORE volunteers. Come be a part of this dynamic ministry. You won't believe the benefits.

Share-A-Meal/Bring and Serve
Share-A-Meal/Bring and Serve -
Two exciting ways to minister to the homeless! You can:
- Share-A-Meal: Serve a meal of food provided by our kitchen (if you want, you can assist in preparing the meal):
- Pay for 300 guests at the Men’s Center to eat dinner ($600), bring 10-20 people to serve, and listen to the powerful testimony of a guest and adopt them in prayer!
- Pay for 100 guests at the Family Center to eat dinner ($200), bring 8-18 people to serve, and listen to the powerful testimony of a guest and adopt them in prayer!
OR
- Bring and Serve: Bring a meal your family, church, business or other organization has prepared and serve it to the homeless.
Contact our CORE Volunteer Coordinator, Tammy Sharp, at CORE@cumission.org or (816) 329-1487 for menu choices and other details.
